Who was Konstantin Josef Jireček?
Konstantin Josef Jireček, son of Josef Jireček and Božena, a daughter of Pavol Jozef Šafárik, was a Czech historian, politician, diplomat, and Slavist. He was the founder of the Bohemian Balkanology and Byzantine studies. Jireček was minister in the government of the Principality of Bulgaria.
