Who is Kyle Davey?
Kyle Davey is an award winning professional ballet dancer, Choreographer and occasional model, who was born in Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia. He began his professional ballet training with The Queensland Dance School of Excellence and then later The Australian Ballet School. Whilst with both schools he was able to dance and tour with both The Queensland Ballet and The Australian Ballet in their tour and also in the Opening Ceremony for the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
Davey moved to the UK where he joined The New English Contemporary Ballet company as a soloist dancer for 3 years as well as becoming a soloist with The Cork City Ballet, Ireland's critically acclaimed Classical Ballet company. Davey has also made guest appearances with Tivoli Pantomime Ballet and in 2009, Ballets Russes, the UK's Russian ballet company as a Soloist dancer, dancing also principal roles such as the Prince in Nutcracker.
From 2008/09 Davey was engaged as a dancer with Wayne McGregor in his choreography research project DanceLines which took place at The Royal Opera House in London, home of The Royal Opera and Royal Ballet company.
To date, Davey has won several awards which include, Graeme Murphy Award for Excellence in Contemporary Dance, 2006, MacDonalds Ballet Scholarships, Male Ballet Dancer Award 2003.
