Lawrence Robert Bowa is a former professional baseball shortstop, former manager, and coach in Major League Baseball. He played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs and New York Mets; managed the San Diego Padres and Phillies, and is currently the Phillies' bench coach.
