Who is Larry R. Hicks?
Larry R. Hicks is a Senior United States District Judge.
Born in Evanston, Illinois, Hicks received a B.S. from the University of Nevada in 1965 and a J.D. from the University of Colorado in 1968. He was a law clerk, Washoe County District Attorney's Office, Nevada in 1968. He was an Attorney, Washoe County District Attorney's Office, Nevada from 1968 to 1974. He was a District attorney of Washoe County District Attorney's Office, Nevada from 1975 to 1979. He was in private practice in Nevada from 1979 to 2001.
Hicks is a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. Hicks was nominated by President George W. Bush on September 4, 2001, to a seat vacated by Johnnie B. Rawlinson. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on November 5, 2001, and received his commission on November 7, 2001. He took senior status on December 13, 2012.
