Who was Kōnia?
Laura Kanaholo Kōnia was a Hawaiian princess. Her father was an ali'i po'olua of Kalaniʻōpuʻu and Kamehameha I, who both accepted him as their own son. She was the mother of Bernice Pauahi Bishop, the founder of Kamehameha Schools.
