Who was Lorenzo Ruiz?
Saint Lorenzo Ruiz, also known as Laurentius Ruiz de Manila or San Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila, is the first Filipino saint venerated in the Roman Catholic Church; he is thus the protomartyr of the Philippines.
