Who was Louise Lindner?

Louise Sara Lindner Eastman was the wife of entertainment lawyer Lee Eastman.

She was the daughter of Stella and Max Joseph Lindner, the founder of the Lindner Company, a women's clothing store in Cleveland, Ohio. Her family was of German Jewish descent. She and husband Lee had four children: John Eastman, an entertainment attorney; Linda McCartney, rock photographer, musician, animal rights activist, and wife of former Beatle Paul McCartney; and younger daughters Laura and Louise. Paul and Linda's four children: Heather, Mary, Stella and James were born after her death. Of the four McCartney children, Heather Louise McCartney and James Louis McCartney have middle names to honor their maternal grandmother. She was a passenger on American Airlines Flight 1 on March 1, 1962, which crashed shortly after take-off from New York International Airport en route to Los Angeles.
