Who is Lydia Polgreen?
Lydia Frances Polgreen is an American journalist who was the West Africa bureau chief of The New York Times, based in Dakar, Senegal, from 2005-2009. She has won many awards, most recently the Livingston award in 2009. She has reported from India. She is currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa where she is the New York Times Johannesburg Bureau Chief.
