Who is M L Catel?
M L Catel appears to be the only Frenchman to have described his experiences as a POW at Dartmoor Prison, almost 30 years after his release. He is credited with the quote regarding Dartmoor weather and the Prison's location "'For seven months in the year, it is a vraie Siberie, covered with unmelting snow. When the snows go away, the mists appear.'
