Who is M. L. Emmett?
M. L. Emmett is a poet, born in Reading, Berkshire, England, and currently living in Norwood, South Australia. She is the current Convenor of Friendly Street Poets Inc., she has worked on the Friendly Street Poets Board as Publications Officer for four years.
She edited Friendly Street volumes: New Poets 12; New Poets 13 & the Single Poet volume Mapping the World by David Ades. In 2007, she co-edited the Friendly Street Poets Reader: 32 REWIRED with Gaetano Aiello. In 2008, she was one of three poets, including Tom Sullivan and Rob Hardy, selected by Judge Ken Bolton for publication in the New Poets 14 in March 2009. She is widely published in Australia, UK, US and online. She was a filmed salon guest of the Australian Poetry Centre in 2009. All Friendly Street Poets Inc. publications are with Wakefield Press and are funded by the South Australia Government through Arts SA, their funding body.
