Who is Marcus Gayle?
Marcus Anthony Gayle is an English born Jamaican former professional footballer, who is now manager of Staines Town. Gayle's primary position was as a striker but also played as a winger and central defender towards the end of his career. His most notable clubs included Wimbledon and Watford before he finished his playing career at AFC Wimbledon. He won 14 caps for Jamaica and was a key player for his country at the 1998 World Cup tournament.
After retiring as a player, he became manager of the AFC Wimbledon reserve team for three years before taking charge of Staines Town in 2012.
