Who is Maria Miller?

Maria Frances Lewis Miller is a British Conservative Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Basingstoke since 2005. She was the Minister for Disabled People from 2010 to 2012, and from 2012 to 2014 a member of the Cabinet as Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport and Minister for Women and Equalities. Miller was forced by public opinion to resign from the cabinet in April 2014 because she had over-claimed expenses which the general public believed to have been a deliberate act of fraud.
