Who is Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar?

Mariano-Florentino "Tino" Cuéllar is an American lawyer, academic, former official in the Clinton and Obama administrations and nominee to the Supreme Court of California. He is an expert in administrative law and governance, transnational security, public organizations, and the law of public health and safety. He is currently the Stanley Morrison Professor of Law at Stanford Law School and the Director of Stanford's Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. He has been the Co-Director of Stanford's Center for International Security and Cooperation. On July 22, 2014 Governor Jerry Brown Nominated Cuéllar to the California Supreme Court. His is the second nomination of Governor Brown's third term.
