Who was Publius Licinius Egnatius Marinianus?
Publius Licinius Egnatius Marinianus was the third and youngest son of Roman Emperor Gallienus and Augusta Cornelia Salonina.
Gallienus appointed him together with Paternus as Consul in early 268. His two older brothers, Valerianus and Saloninus had died earlier, and thus he was the successor to the throne.
Marinianus, along with his uncle Valerianus Minor, perished during the autumn of 268 in a purge of Gallienus’ partisans.
