Who is Marjorie Torrey?
Marjorie Torrey was an illustrator and winner of two Caldecott Honor books in 1946 and 1947. It appears that although her married name might have been Chanslor all of her other names including Marjorie could be pseudonyms. see 3rd external resource. It Appears her last marriage was to Tom Bevans of Cornwall Ct. He renewed copyright to several of her books in the 1970s and she published a book or two and drawings under name of Torrey Bevans.
