Ms. Marsha Johnson Evans served as president and chief executive officer of the American Red Cross from August 2002 to December 2005. She previously served as the national executive director of Girl Scouts of the USA from January 1998 until July 2002. Ms. Evans was a career officer in the United States Navy, retiring as a rear admiral in January 1998.
