Who is Marzouq Al-Ghanim?
Marzouq Al-Ghanim is a member and the current speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, representing the second district. Born in 1968, Al-Ghanim earned a BA in mechanical engineering and worked for Boubyan Petrochemicals before being elected to the National Assembly in 2006. Al-Ghanim considers himself an independent deputy and generally votes with the other liberal-leaning, businessman members. He is the son of Faiza Al-Kharafi.
