Who was Mateo Cerezo?
Mateo Cerezo was a Baroque Spanish painter.
In 1654 he moved to Madrid and studied with Juan Carreno de Miranda and possibly with Antonio de Pereda.
He died young at age forty years, and much of his work is at the Prado Museum in Madrid, as well as at the Museo de Burgos.
