Who is Matt Doherty?
Matt Doherty is an American college basketball coach. He is the former head men's basketball coach at Southern Methodist University. Doherty accepted the job in April 2006 after a year as head coach at Florida Atlantic University. He is best known for his tumultuous three-year stint as the head basketball coach at his alma mater, the University of North Carolina from 2000 to 2003.
