Who is Max Clifford?
Maxwell Frank "Max" Clifford is an English publicist, considered the highest-profile and best-known in the United Kingdom, In his career he has had a varied range of clients and was a controversial figure, due to his representation of unpopular clients and his work for people wishing to sell "kiss-and-tell" stories to tabloid newspapers.
Clifford was arrested in December 2012 by Metropolitan Police officers on suspicion of sexual offences; the arrest was part of Operation Yewtree. After further investigation, he was tried in March 2014 and in May he was sentenced to eight years in prison. He is currently incarcerated at HM Prison Wandsworth.
