Mike MacSween

Who is Mike MacSween?

Mike MacSweenis Vice President of Strategy and

Development for Suncor Energy Inc., a position he has held since July,

2006. Previously, he held a variety of technical and operational

management positions at Suncor’s oil sands operation in Fort McMurray,

Alberta. From 2004-2006, Mr. MacSween was Vice President – Upgrading

overseeing the operations of a 250,000 barrel/day integrated process

facility with a value of over $10 billion and producing over 10 percent

of Canada’s oil supply. He has over 17 years experience in the oil and

gas industry including previous positions at Betz Process Chemicals

Inc. and Shell Canada Inc. Mr. MacSween graduated from UNB with a

Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering and obtained an MBA

from Queens University.
