Who is Milan Timotić?
Milan Timotić was a Serbian-American singer. While in Serbia he recorded for the Odeon and Edison Bell-Penkala labels. During World War II, he was a prisoner in a factory near Valjevo. Upon his release, he decided to make a clean start abroad.
Timotić first went to Vienna, then to New York, and in 1959 he moved to Chicago. During his time there, he was a member of the Serbian Singing Federation and continued to make 78 rpm records with Marty Kapugi's Sar Planina Ochestra. He died in 1988.
