Who is Mridula Koshy?
Mridula Susan Koshy is an Indian writer. She lives in New Delhi with her partner and her three children. Her collection of short stories, If It Is Sweet won the 2009 Shakti Bhatt First Book Prize and was shortlisted for the 2009 Vodafone Crossword Book Award.
Before returning to India, she worked as a trade union and community organiser in the US. Her stories have appeared in literary journals including Wasafiri, Prairie Fire, The Dalhousie Review and Existere, as well as in anthologies in India, the UK and Italy.
Her most recent novel is published by HarperCollins India and is called "Not Only the Things That Have Happened". Set in Kerala, over a 36 hour period, this novel is a story about things that make us, and break us...and then remake us.
