Who is Mughira ibn Shu'ba?

al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah ibn Abī ʿĀmir ibn Masʿūd ath-Thaqafī was one of the more prominent companions of Muhammad. He belonged to the tribe of Thaqif of Ta'if. Prior to accepting Islam he was in possession of wealth through highway robbery but after accepting Islam he became a very noble companion. The prophet advised him not to use this wealth in Islam. He was present with the Prophet Muhammad at the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah.
