Who was Murad Bey?
Murad Bey Mohammed was an Egyptian Mamluk chieftain, cavalry commander and joint ruler of Egypt with Ibrahim Bey. He was of Georgian origin Murad Sinjikashvili. He is often remembered as being a cruel and extortionate ruler.
