Who is Murphy Su'a?
Murphy Logo Su'a is a former New Zealand cricketer, who played 13 Tests and 12 One Day Internationals for New Zealand.
Su'a was born in Wanganui. He was often thought of as a great under-achiever. A left arm seamer who never scaled the heights that is talent suggested he might, the first Samoan to play Test cricket for New Zealand. Su'a even resorted to bowling left arm spin in Test cricket as his career was on the decline.
Su'a was included in the 1992 World Cup squad for New Zealand but did not play in a single game, being 12th man in all of them.
Su'a became a motivational speaker in the United States.
He is a customer loyalty and growth manager at Vodafone NZ.
Su'a returned to international cricket in September 2012 for his birth nation of Samoa in Division Eight of the World Cricket League.
