Who is Nicolas Peschier?
Nicolas Peschier is a French slalom canoer who has competed in the C-1 category since the late 1990s. Since 2011 he has also been competing in the C-2 category alongside Pierre Labarelle.
He won four medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with two golds, a silver and a bronze. He also won eight medals at the European Championships.
Peschier won the overall World Cup title in 2012 in the C-2 category.
Peschier competed in the C-1 event at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, but was eliminated in the qualifying rounds, finishing in 14th place.
His brother BenoƮt Peschier is Olympic champion from the K-1 event at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.
