Who is Nitya Anand?
Nitya Anand is a scientist who was the director of Central Drug Research Institute in Lucknow for several years. He was involved in carrying out some pioneering work on pharmaceutical sciences. In 2005 Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission appointed him chairman of its scientific committee. Currently he is the chairman of Ranbaxy Science Foundation.
In 2012, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Indian Govt.
