Who is Noel Keeble?

Captain Noel Keeble was a World War I flying ace credited with six aerial victories.

Keeble was with No. 1 Wing RNAS at Dunkirk in late 1915. He used a Nieuport to force an enemy seaplane to land on the sea on 25 January 1916. Nine months later, on 23 October 1916, he used a Sopwith Pup to destroy a seaplane.

In 1918, he was a flight commander on 202 Squadron piloting an Airco DH.4. Between 5 June and 16 September 1918, he destroyed three enemy fighters and drove another one down out of control. His gunner/observer during these wins was fellow ace Eric Betts.

Keeble was granted a permanent commission as a Flight Lieutenant on 1 August 1919.
