Who is Norman Matloff?
Norman Saul Matloff is an American professor of computer science at the University of California, Davis. He received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1975 from the mathematics department at the University of California, Los Angeles under the supervision of Thomas M. Liggett.
Matloff is also prominent for certain political writings. He opposes increased immigration to fill computer science jobs in the United States and was featured in national American media on this topic. He especially views the use of H-1B visas in the high technology sector as an unnecessary practice that harms the prospects of American workers.
