Who is Nydia Velázquez?
Nydia Margarita Velázquez is the U.S. Representative for New York's 7th congressional district. She is a member of the Democratic Party. She is the first Puerto Rican woman to be elected to Congress, and was the chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus until January 3, 2011.
