Who is Padamsinh Bajirao Patil?

Padamsinh Bajirao Patil is a member of 15th Lok Sabha, lower house of Parliament of India, from Osmanabad in Maharashtra state in India. He was elected to Lok Sabha on Nationalist Congress Party ticket in May 2009 general elections. He was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation for his alleged involvement in the 2006 murder of Maharashtra Congress leader Pawanraje Nimbalkar and his driver and remanded in the agency's custody. He was never in judicial custody for more than a week. He was granted bail on a surety of Rs 2 lakh. The trial in Alibaug court began on June 6, 2011 and verdict in a court of law is still pending.
