Paul de Jersey, AC, QC has since 1998 been Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Queensland, which is the highest ranking court in the Australian State of Queensland. On 26 February 2014, Premier Campbell Newman announced that de Jersey would be the next Governor of Queensland.
