Who was Paul Pesthy?
Paul Pesthy was an American modern pentathlete and fencer. He won a silver medal in the team pentathlon event at the 1964 Summer Olympics.
He was born in Hungary and emigrated to the United States in 1958. He was USFA/AFLA national épée champion. Member, U.S. Olympic fencing team; member, U.S. Olympic modern pentathlon team. Olympic silver medalist, Pentathlon team 1964, World Team Bronze 1962, 1963. IFA épée champion and NCAA épée champion for Rutgers. Member of the United States Fencing Association Hall of Fame.
