Who was Pavel Peter Gojdič?
Pavel Peter Gojdič, also known as Pavol Gojdič or Peter Gojdič, was a Basilian monk and the bishop of the Greek Catholic Eparchy of Prešov. He was martyred by the communist regime in Czechoslovakia. He was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 2001 and recognised as Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem in 2007.
