Who is Per Martinsen?

Per Martinsen is an artist and electronic musician born in Tromsø, Northern Norway. His works include a vast number of recordings released under his solo moniker Mental Overdrive, musical output through collaborations, mainly the duos Frost and Illumination/Chilluminati, and a vast number of remixes of other artist's output. See Discogs. He has composed for film and art installations, but enjoys working with dancefloors and other forms of mass communication within the great pool of popular culture. He has attempted to sell a recorded work in one single copy through eBay.

He has sold a 'backwards message' that was later hidden inside one of his pieces on his 2008 Mental Overdrive album "You are being manipulated", also through an eBay auction. He exhibited his piece "Pong" at the Insomnia Mini-Expo taking place at Random Gallery in Tromsø in 2008, and has insinuated that this piece, as well as his new piece "Elsewhere", might be part of a bigger picture.
