Who is Peter Box?

Peter Box was an Australian rules footballer who played with Footscray in the Victorian Football League during the 1950s.

Box arrived at Footscray from Cheltenham and made his VFL debut in 1951. He missed the entire 1952 season through injury before returning and playing his best football from 1953 onwards. In 1956, he represented Australia for baseball in the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne where they played the United States as a demonstration sport.

He was educated at Wesley College, Melbourne.
