Who is Peter Sutton?
The Rt Rev Peter Eves Sutton, CBE, was the 8th Anglican Bishop of Nelson.
Sutton was born on 7 June 1923, educated at Nelson College and the University of New Zealand, and ordained in 1947. He began his career with curacies at Whanganui, St John the Evangelist Bethnal Green, and Bishops Hatfield. He was then Vicar of St Cuthberts, Berhampore. Later he was Archdeacon of Waimate and after that Dean of Dunedin.
