Who was Peter Hussing?
Peter Hussing was a West German heavyweight boxing champion. He was born in Brachbach, Sieg. Although one of the favorites in European Championship in Katowice in 1975, he was KO-ed by Andrzej Biegalski from Poland, who later became the champion. In 1979 in Cologne Hussing became the European Champion . He also represented West Germany at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California, where he was eliminated in the quarterfinals at the hands of Albanian boxer Aziz Salihu from Yugoslavia.
