Who is Peter Pierce?

Peter Pierce is a surfer and artist known for is works depicting surfers.

Pierce began drawing before the age of six and has become an important figure in the emerging surf art movement. He started surfing in Half Moon Bay and has lived and surfed in Santa Barbara, Dana Point, Morro Bay, and Hawaii. Currently he is known for painting famous surf spots in the United States. An accomplished surfer, as well as artist, he has been seen surfing and skateboarding among former world champions including Tom Curren, Kelly Slater, Tony Hawk, and other board sport professionals. His paintings of Rincon, Refugio, Malibu, Santa Cruz, Hollister Ranch, Santa Barbara, Salt Creek and other spots are well known and have been published in many surf periodicals. His works currently show in galleries all over the coastal United States.
