Who is Peter Seisenbacher?
Peter Seisenbacher is one of the most successful judo practitioners and participants of the Olympic Games from Austria.
For his first Summer Olympics 1984 in Los Angeles, Seisenbacher exercised in Japan, where he found optimal training conditions. He won his first Olympic gold medal in the Men's Middleweight.
Four years later, at the Summer Olympics 1988 in Seoul, he won his second Olympic gold medal, something no judoka had succeeded in doing before.
Subsequent to his sport career, Seisenbacher worked as a judo trainer in Austria.
From 2010 until 2012 he was head coach of Georgian national judo team. During this time the team won 2 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze medals at european championships, and one bronze medal at world championships. At the 2012 summer olympics in London Lasha Shavdatuashvili won the gold medal in the 66kg category.
From October 2012 on, Seisenbacher became head coach of the Azerbaijan national judo team.
