Who is Peter Steedman?
Alan Peter Steedman was an Australian politician. At Melbourne University he edited Farrago, the Melbourne University Student Union paper. He also edited Lot's Wife at Monash University. In 1983, he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Labor member for Casey, defeating Liberal MP Peter Falconer. However, a redistribution made his seat marginally Liberal, and as a result he was defeated the following year by Liberal Bob Halverson and retired from politics. Pete Steedman was the Executive Director of the not-for-profit company Ausmusic from 1988 to 1996.
