Who is Peter Sullivan?

Peter M. Sullivan is a Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives and a former member of the Board of Aldermen in the city of Manchester, New Hampshire. He served as a New Hampshire state representative from Hillsborough County, from 2001 until 2006, during which he served on the House Committees on Criminal Justice and Public Safety and State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs. From 2008 to 2010, Sullivan served as a member of the Manchester Board of Aldermen from the city's downtown Ward 3.

Controversy:

Representative Peter Sullivan, a self-described leader of the “progressive bloc” in the New Hampshire legislature, began his war of insults against Congressional candidate Marilinda Garcia last week when he posted comments on his Twitter account comparing her to Kim Kardashian, the reality-TV star who rose to fame after a sex tape of her surfaced, and referring to her as a “lightweight” in “stiletto heels.” When criticized, he issued a mock apology — to Kardashian, for comparing her to a “right-wing crazy” such as Garcia.

NH Journal obtained a copy of a letter that then–house speaker O’Brien sent to Sullivan in April 2012 privately reprimanding him for physically pushing aside several of his colleagues:
