Who is Peter Weinberg?
Peter A. Weinberg is an American businessman. Formerly employed with Goldman Sachs, he joined a boutique banking firm in 2006, Perella Weinberg Partners.
Weinberg is a grandson of Sidney Weinberg, "the father of the modern Goldman Sachs"; many of his family members also worked for Goldman Sachs. He was educated at Claremont McKenna College, California, and received his MBA from Harvard in 1983. He was head of European business at Goldman Sachs, and in 2006 went into business as a partner with takeover specialist Joseph R. Perella at his newly formed boutique investment bank, Perella Weinberg Partners.
