Who is Phil Latreille?
Jean Philippe Latreille was a professional ice hockey player who played four games in the National Hockey League. He played with the New York Rangers.
At Middlebury College, Latreille set all NCAA goal scoring records. In the days when Freshmen didn't play varsity sports, Phil Letreille scored 57 goals as a sophomore, 77 as a junior and 80 as a senior, all in 20 game seasons or less between 1958 and 1961. Letreille still holds seven NCAA records, including points per game in both a single season and career, along with goals per game in a season and career.
In 2013, Letreille was named to the Vermont Sports Hall of Fame.
