Who is Philippe Beaudry?

Philippe Beaudry is a Canadian Olympic fencer as well as a Pan American Champion and 10 time National Champion in both the junior and senior level. He began fencing when he was 13.

Beaudry won the gold medal at the 2007 Pan American Games in the men's sabre discipline and in doing so qualified to compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

On August 12, 2008, Beaudry won his first bout at his debut Olympics 15-8. Beaudry was defeated in the second round of the competition 4-15.

On July 29, 2012, Beaudry had a BYE from the first round of the competition at the 2012 London Olympics, but was once again eliminated in the second round.

On October 26, 2011, Beaudry repeated as the Pan American Games champion, becoming the only athlete from outside the United States to win a gold medal.
