Count Pyotr Andreyevich Tolstoy was a Russian statesman prominent during and after the reign of Peter the Great. He was the ancestor of all the Counts Tolstoy, including the novelist Leo Tolstoy, although the Counts Tolstoy-Miloslavsky descend from his elder brother, Ivan.
