Who is Rajkumar Kohli?

Rajkumar Kohli is an Indian film director. He was famous for directing several popular Bollywood films in the 1970s and 1980s with ensemble casts such as Nagin, Jaani Dushman, Naukar Biwi Ka and Raaj Tilak. His films frequently featured actors including Sunil Dutt, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Shatrughan Sinha and actresses such as Reena Roy and Rekha.

In the early 1990s he introduced his son Armaan Kohli in the multi-starrer action film Virodhi which was a flop. He directed his son again in Aulad Ke Dushman and Qahar which also failed to launch his son's career. After a hiatus he returned in 2002 and relaunched his son in another multi-starrer film in the style of his classic 1970s films Nagin and Jaani Dushman titled Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani. However when released it was a box office disaster and was heavily criticised. As well as copying his own 1970s films, the film copied scenes from The Matrix, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Mission: Impossible II and The Mummy. He has not directed any film since 2002.
