Who is Ram Kinkar Upadhyay?
Ram Kinkar Upadhyay is a noted scholar on Indian scriptures and a recipient of Padma Bhushan - the third highest civil award of India - in 1999. He hails from Uttar Pradesh. He was born on 1st of Nov 1924 in Jabalpur but his ancestors were from village Barainin in UP. He left for his heavenly abode on 9 August 2002.From the age of 19 to 78, he wrote about 92 books - mainly on Ramcharitmanas. He used to place his point of view without disturbing or insulting any person holding totally contrasting view. Now his thoughts and preachings are brought forward by his shishya Umashankar Byas and MaithiliSharan.Umashanker Jee leave his home in age of 13 in charan vandana of Gurujee. Latter Umashankar jee's brother in law Bhai jee also joined.
