Who is Randall B. Griepp?

Randall B. Griepp is an American cardiothoracic surgeon who collaborated with Norman Shumway in the development of the first successful heart transplant procedures in the U.S. He has an international reputation for his contributions to the surgical treatment of aortic aneurysm and aortic dissection and in heart transplantation and lung transplantation. He has to date received nearly $8 million in grants from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.

He is currently a Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.
